Lighting ~

 

Chandelier lighting would be a lovely addition and reflect light, however, hanging it from the ceiling would clash with your recessed lighting.  So perhaps a standing chandelier lamp or side table lamp, most probably where the two wing-backed chairs are, lightening that corner.  I would remove the lamp off your desk and install glass hanging lighting, extending to the right height above your head.  The light will highlight your working space.  I would place a copper, arched floor standing reading light behind the couch.
